New Videos, fresh out the oven, literally
« on: January 21, 2006, 03:10:24 AM »
Well noticed quite a bit of lossed reaction in my absolute this past week in league and decided to bake it, this is the 2nd time i've done it to this ball.  I also put my ultimate in because it had been forever since I had and knew it wasn't as strong in the midlane as it had been.  15 minutes @ 170 degrees, 2 sessions a piece, wipping the ball down with grease lightning in between and after each bake.

Went and practiced yesterday and brought the camera with me and took some nice shots from the ground, quite artistic I think.  Balls roll much better and I was able to get back to carrying a little better.  There's also a shot of my rampage, after shinning it up quite a bit.

BTW, just a 39ft. THS.  I will have a hard time believing anyone who tells me that baking balls doesn't work and that it ruins balls.  I probobly bowl more than most on here and my balls get alot of games on them and i've baked balls prolly a dozen times now and have yet to have any problems.  Recommended to anyone who feels their balls have lost reaction.

PS. give them a second to download before playing or they will be choppy, each is about 20 seconds.
Enjoy,
Mike Larsen

Very nice. Is your center always that well lit or did you use extra lighting.

Very good form and it looks like you really work hard on your game.

it's always pretty well lit, no extra lighting.  The place is quite a beast, 80 lanes of entertainment.

Looks very good.  I feel I have lost that big snap on the backends I used to get with Absolute as well.  Have never baked before, but maybe I will give it a try.  Did you just put this in a regular oven at 170?  Do you put the ball on something in the oven?
Thanks

Well I believe the temperature recommended by Brunswick is like 150, but the lowest mine goes is 170.  Straight on the rack, nothing special.
