Need a New Ball
« on: September 24, 2006, 04:31:16 PM »
Hey Guys
I have only been bowling for a few years and I need some new equipment.
If you look at my profile you can see my current arsenal.

Any recommendations?
I usually face med light to med heavy conditions.
One house I bowl at is wood while the other is AMF synthetic.

go 4 sum weaker solids and add a pearl in there.

look at basically any storm's pearls and maybe ebonite, columbia, or whoever for some reactives.

Could use a little more info.  Are you planning to add to what you have, or replace it?  If you're planning to replace the equipment, what types of reactions are you looking for?  Where do you feel the weak point is in your current arsenal?

most of the bowling balls are pretty similar in characteristics

backyard bully------2.547----0.047
switch blade--------2.53-----0.054
crunch time---------2.52-----0.047
womb----------------2.518----0.044

I am looking for two balls. one with a high rg--high df and a ball with a high rg --med dif.

Dynothane 44 and 357.
Both Resins;
Low RG Pearl (357) and Solid PEarl Mix (44).  You should be able to handle a myriad of conditions with that combo along with your other balls.

The ZR40 and the Energy would have higher RGs, however, looking at your lineup, something lower might be in order.
