Just started a fall league in a house with synthetic lanes.  Prior to this I've never bowled on synthetics other than open play.  So I'm wondering, is one type of ball (regarding coverstock & finish) better for synthetics than wood?  The one thing I have noticed with the synthetics since bowling on them the last few weeks (again, mostly open play) is that the shot seems to stay more consistant.

Thanks.....  The two houses I've bowled league in (which are owned by the same people) are wood lanes and seem to be in very good shape compared to a third house in the area with wood lanes.  I've heard horror stories about "bad" wood lanes and so far I haven't experienced any of that. 

Other than the shot seeming to be more consistant, the other thing I noticed and the reason for my question, is that my HyRoad Pearl doesn't seem to react as well (or the same) on the synthetics as it does on wood.  So I tried the Special Agent on the synthetics and it seems to read/react a lot better.  It's also more forgiving if I miss outside.

The ball is going to jump off the dry a little harder on synthetics, which allows you to cover more boards.  Basically slick plays a bit slicker and dry plays a bit drier on synthetics.

That explains the adjustments made from house to house. I knew that there was a wood v synthetic difference. However, when the shot goes in the synthetic house, it is a huge adjustment for me. I adjust to the extreme and work my way back, 5 and 3 typically is the first move. The wood house usually go 2 and 1 and I am usually in there.
