I think you guys are forgetting something....next week is SuperBowl Sunday. Most people are having parties, watching the 52 hours of pre-game, and not thinking about bowling. What better time to put on something like this. It is a fun tournament, with celebrities and sports stars that might draw over viewers from the SuperBowl coverage. It isn't a show designed to cater to the serious bowlers out there, it is designed for casual bowlers or non-bowlers who might like to see stars looking and acting like real people.

I think it is a great move by the PBA to have this on next week. JMHO.

I love it. I think it also really gets people interested in bowling more I think. I mean Chris Paul is a pretty decent bowler and he attracts a whole different audience than the PBA is used to.

I'm assuming that this event was taped already, maybe months ago. Am I correct?
If not, and if it's really a tournament scheduled to bowl this week, then Chris Paul won't be part of it after hurting his knee last week.

It's likely taped because Duke injured his ankle at it and had to withdraw from the EA tournament or was that the TOC?  Anyway, he was out.  

Plus, Feb 7th is the beginning of the Masters in Reno.
