Well I guess I will not be bowling my pro pattern summer league. The reason is........ you guessed it LACK OF PARTICIPATION!!!!!!!! lazy a$ED typical league bowlers...... I bet there were 12-15 300's and 6-8 800's thrown this year at the house that was going to do this (18 lanes) and the best the owner can muster is 7 freaking guys!!!! I only average about 190 but geeze guys shoe up for a challenge!......
Sorry about the rant........
guess I will go to the other house and shoot WAY over my average and like it or lump it...........
Walked into this place last Saturday night and shot 256 the very first game after not being in the place in over 2 years.......... first 5 balls off NO practice were dead flush and it wasn't me!!!!!!!

That does suck man. Wish ya the best of luck on finding a PBA leauge or something close to it. Guess I cant ever complain about my area for bowling. Both PBA leauges im on, Teusday night, 75 bowlers with a long sub list. Next summer it might turn into a 5 man pba leauge that starts at 6:30. Wednesday night theres about 65 bowlers.

You do have to understand that bowling is nearly a "seasonal" sport. Take into account the amount of bowlers that do NOT participate in summer leagues at all.
We had a secondary scratch league in our house that folded. Now they have to bowl with the Steve Cook Classic Singles league and just hope they can average over 235 to made a dent in the cash. And next season, since the fall Steve Cook leauge is a draft, that they might have impressed somebody enough to take them on for the fall season.

Exactly. I rarely bowl a summer league. The only reason I am doing so this summer is I recently changed all my pitches and haven't decided if I like it or not. I figure bowling once a week would be better than bowling once a month

we have the same problem in the summer, no leagues on Monday or Fridays due to lack of interest, the rest of the leagues are about 50% from the winter or falls strength. Most ppl in our area are boating, camping or out of town most of the summer.

sounds like a tough house, 10-12 300 games all year, that's about a month around here.
-
Tough??????? The highest scoring lane surface made as of 2-3 years ago when he put them in.... remember 18 lane house (there may have been more but thats a lot from the one or 2 per season they used to have....)
