Hot water bath
« on: October 07, 2009, 05:55:14 AM »
I know this is topic that is talked about quite a bit but I have one question about it. I do have a ball spinner, and I was wondering if it is better to first sand the ball down to around 320 grit and then do the hot water bath? Will it be easier for more oil to get out this way?

That is what I have heard and I do it.  It is supposed to open up the pores of the ball more.

Not sure if that would be needed.  I finally did that with some of the stuff I've got an there is a world of difference in the reaction I had and what I have now.  I don't think it would be needed though.

I have read that it is recommended to sand it first...I believe by a ball company but I am not sure.
