Has your favorite ball company ever "failed" you?
« on: January 27, 2008, 12:26:27 PM »
Loaded question, I know.

My point is, has your favorite ball manufacturer ever made a ball that was basically a turd in your hands?

For me, the ball company I best match up with is Storm, and it's nearly always been that way.

But the El Nino? Total junk for me. I'd never been so unhappy with a ball as when I bought that. I think it might be the core, because I have a La Nina now and it's only a little better.

Anyone else ever get surprised (in a bad way) by a company you otherwise love?

Jess

Track matches up for me. I've had a Super Freak, Freak Out, Xception and Mean Machine that didn't match up for me no matter how I had them drilled, no matter which house I threw them in. Sold them all to friends and have watched them throw them well. Sometimes you just don't match up, I guess!

I love Ebonite, but the Total NV was a complete dud for me and on the other side of the coin, the orginal V2 was a slug.

L/LM Terminator. They advertised this as their heaviest oil ball, WITH its shiny surface. The World Class and the Big Bang handles A LOT more oil, for me, OOB with same drill, than the Terminator.
