Ball Selection help
« on: April 03, 2009, 02:38:48 AM »
I posted this in the RotoGrip forum, but thought i'd put it here too, to get a wider range of responses.

At the top end of my arsenal I currently have 2 original Cells, one drilled pin down-1000 abralon, the other pin up-OOB. My next step down is a Hy-Road, drilled 4x4-OOB. I am looking into the "aggressive" pearls that are out there, i.e. Cell Pearl, 2nd Dimension, Hot Sauce Pearl, etc. I am thinking this will cover the gap I have here. I am RH, about 18-19MPH, with about 390 RPM.

I welcome everyone's thoughts, even if it is to tell me I am off base, lol. Another option I have is I have a Resurgence drilled pin down -OOB at the moment, I was thinking of polishing this up, maybe with Secret Sauce to see if that might fit the bill as well. Thanks again for your thoughts.

If you like the look of your Roto gear then I would stick with another Storm/Roto piece to keep the coverstock differences to a minimum -- unless you're specifically wanting to throw in a big change in the middle of your arsenal. In other words, if you like what you have, stick to the Cell Pearl/Second Dimension level and not the Hot Sauce. Going with the Hot Sauce, NSane, etc., would be helpful if you frequently change houses/shots and need a different kind of matchup.

I'd answer that question first (sticking with a similar look/company feel or not) and when you have that answer, it will point you in the direction you need to go.
