So I just went through Mo''s fitting guide, and come up with a 4 1/4" span and thumb pitch of 1/8" toward palm, and 1 1/8" reverse. 

I know this is only a guide, but how close might this be?

I ask because my current pitches (I don't feel they are quite right) are 1/8" left and 5/16" forward.

I have pretty poor thumb flexibility (palm pointed at the floor, thumb just makes 90 degrees)

Are you sure the 1 1/8 reverse isn't a typo and you maybe meant 1/8 reverse?

Per that chart, 4 1/4 span calls for 1/8 reverse as a starting point and not 1 1/8.

Just changed mine to 1/8 rev and 1/16 away made an big difference I have an 4 7/8 inch span going to try maybe 0 or 1/16 forward later.

 I never understood the flexible diagrams for these charts, can someone explain please.
Let's use the 90 degree or average tight vs 120 degrees or average flexability as an example.

The charts are looking at the angle between the thumb and the index finger with the thumb pointed down.  I use the longest span to get the pitch to use.  --  JohnP

It's all a matter of comfort. Along those lines, you have to find someone who is open and willing to drill according to what works for you.

I've had people who weren't used to drilling long spans drill my pieces as much as 3/16 short in span or damn near refuse to drill as much reverse as I've requested, saying I wouldn't be able to keep the ball on my hand.

I have span measurements of 5 9/16, 5 5/8 span; zero pitch in the fingers with 1/2 and 3/8 side, respectively. I also have 5/8 reverse in the thumb, with 1/8 side. (I've gone as much as 3/4 reverse in the thumb.)

Shorten my span 3/16 of an inch went to what I thought was 1/8 rev to be told later that it is 1/16 but either way the more I bowl the better the ball feels coming off my hand.
