Polishing a Viz-A-Ball

I know scuffing or dulling a Viz-A-Ball will take the design off the cover, but will polishing affect the cover design at all? I'm thinking not, but just want to make sure.  Thanks.

Thanks for the help, I'll go easy on it with the pressure, it's my wife's and still goes pretty straight, but wanted to check before I did anything with it.
