Buying a used ball with a weight hole?

Is it okay to buy a used ball with a weight hole?? or does it effect the type of reaction I want in the ball too much?? Thanks for your help, M

IT wouldn't be there if it wasn't necessary for the current drilling.

When I buy used balls, I try to get ones with layouts I like and will keep.  All I need to do is plug and redrill the thumb to change the span.  If the ball has a weight hole, that's ok with me.

The weight hole will affect the type of reaction as much in a used ball as in a new ball.
