"Ballreview or for sale site"?
« on: December 01, 2011, 10:37:27 AM »
I've been on this site for 2 years and its a great site for all your bowling needs in terms of learning fundamentals, equipment and much more ;its also great to buy balls cheap as well; however everyday its over 80% about what's for sale/trade and its in my opinion its watering down the site does anybody else feel the same way?

The site is what the people on here make it.  Ballreviews.com doesn't have 50 pop-ups that try to get you to buy equipment.  The users post the adds.  Post a question, comment, or concern and start the ball rolling (pun intended) if you're not happy with the content.  Not trying to sound uppity, but just my 2 cents.

Balls in the bag and order they come out:
#1/2 Nano and Anarchy #3- Virtual Energy   #4- Gravity Shift #5- Big Hit (spare and really dry)
#6- Teal Rhino Pro (oldie but a goodie)

Agreed. And, if trustworthy selling is part of this site, then it is one of its benefits to the users. If you are not happy with the content or there's something open - post something. YOU are part of the process :)

I understand where leftybowler70 is coming from.  From what I have seen over the years BR has become a for sale/non-misc site....I would hazard a guess that 75% of the posts are in those two categories.  Other sites have pulled away the technical and bowling only type of threads so that what this site has become.  Which is fine you take a site for what it is.  BR fills that niche.

leftybowler70--I'd start looking at other sites if bowling topics are what you are looking for or start bowling threads if you have questions or wish to interact more on this site.

Thing that makes it hard is when certain people create 7 different threads to sell 7 different balls and then bumps it every day, if not twice a day.  If it was limited to one thread per seller and can only bump every other day, it wouldn't be so bad.

Thanks for the reply's everyone. Scotts33 you hit the nail on the head I understand that selling is a part of this and you can go to different furoms to discuss different bowling topics, but when the site is over 75% for saleit just dosent feel quite the same is all.
