How the HELL does my brother do this?
« on: January 28, 2004, 04:46:45 AM »
The boy is "gifted," that's all I can say.  I can have a ball and throw it for a few to hundreds of games, and it'll be fine.  I've got a Detonator with 600+ games on it, and although it doesn't hook as much as it used to, it doesn't sweat any oil period.  I have other balls like this too.  However, all I have to do is give a ball to my brother, and it will be SOAKED inside 10 games.  It'll start sweating in the middle of his league.  All I do to my stuff is wipe it off thoroughly after every shot, and occasionally sand or polish it.  He wipes the ball off after every shot as well, (although I think he just spreads the oil all over the ball more than anything), but rarely has me work on the surface.  I gave him a ball to get my Blueberry back, he's thrown it less than 40 games, mind you, and I bled the sucker for 3 hours.  It's in flat out PERFECT shape now, but I have no idea how my brother does it.  He did the same thing to a Scream/R, a Purple Monster, an Orange Flame, and a Red Alert SE.  There never seems to be any oil in my equipment, no matter how long I throw any of them, yet he can work miracles and turn anything into a sponge.

Maybe he removes your "ball killing" polish first.

Lol at Strider.  He kills stuff faster than the polish does . .  And actually he plays down and in.  Straight up 6 or 7.  Pretty good if he'd pay attention and learn how to pick up a 10 pin.
