Well it's going to be slick a heck...

...not sure how durable it's going to be though?

I am also curious how it might turn out. Although I wonder how it either holds onto the ball well(?) and how it handles tape, etc.

But it is a cool experiment, anyway. Go boldly where no man or bowler has gone before

yeah, i'm not sure how well teflon would bond to resin, even with glue, but its definitely gonna be slick as all hell.

Besides tefon being extremely slick, you would have to acid etch the teflon so that it will bond with the ball.  It also requires a special adhesive.

From my past experience in industry, I doubt that tape would adhere to the teflon.

There is a interchangable thumb system that uses a twist and lock method with the grooves on the side of the insert (instead of on the bottom like the Switch-Grip).  I'm willing to bet you can "machine" the teflon thumb slug to the same specs and just twist and lock it into your ball.

Question #1     why in the hell do you think you need teflon?????    About 1/2 reverse on the thumbhole will duplicate the effect of teflon.

But no one needs that much reverse.  In fact, anyone can be taught to throw a ball with forward in the thumb.  Reverse is not needed.

It's just as well.  A few years back,  friend of mine with access to a material very much like teflon, made some slugs out of it.

They were all but useless.  Even when you got them so tight you had to just CRAM your thumb into the hole, the slug was so slick you would lose it in the backswing if you weren't careful.

Unless you like a loose, extremely slick, thumb, I wouldn't recommend trying it.
