Throwing a back-up ball at 10 pins

I've recently started using a back-up ball to get 10 pins. Is this against any sort of USBC rule since I'm right handed and some of my balls have a weight hole and there's a possibility of it rolling over it? Thanks

The rule is you can't switch hands.  Whatever you're capable of doing with the hand you've established your average with you're allowed to do...back up, straight, no-thumb, etc.

as far as i know it doenst matter how the balls drilled regardless of lh or rh as long as its statically legal... somebody correct me of im wrong.

it does not matter at all. I did that, until I just recently started throwing my dads viz-a-ball for 10 pins.

You just cannot switch hands, which was previously said in this post.

Heck, if the lanes are not stripped and then just oiled over at my house, I'll even go 2-handed, so I can get more revs and get backend on the slick lanes, unless I am able to carry that day with my normal low rev rate
