Opinions on coaches at tournaments.
« on: March 19, 2005, 09:10:04 AM »
I was just wondering how you feel about coaches helping
their kids while they bowl. Today I went to a tournament
and thought I was going to do good because none of the
kids were adjusting. But they all had their coaches
telling them what ball to use and were to move. I swear,
if one kid wasn't told what to do, he would have probably
been using the ball that hooked too much but his coach took
his ball away and told him what to do. I guess it just
irritates me a little.

Everytime you throw exclaim "TAKE THAT, YOU!!!" continue this behavior until forcefully thrown out.

I think what should be done at tournaments (just like what happens at the PBA level) is that coaching can take place up to when the first ball for competition is thrown. After that, everyone should be on an equal playing field. The only way for that to happen at tournaments though is to have that written into the rules, which could be a difficult proposition to convince the parents and coaches of.
