To bowl or not to bowl, that is the question
« on: September 07, 2014, 03:28:22 PM »
Yesterday we took a friend over to the best pro shop in the area since it is about an hour away. While we were bowling, my thumb ended up swelling up from the weather, and the repeated tugging on my thumb ended up pulling/stretching the tendon, and it hurts. Since I was at the pro shop, I had the driller drill me up an "oh sh!t" sized interchangeable thumb for extreme swelling cases. My question is this: has anyone had this happen before? Should I bowl tonight, or take the night off to let it heal? It doesn't hurt badly, but it is a constant ache.

Take the night off.  I'm assuming it's a full fall season so you have many weeks left!

Since it is now an injury, versus just normal swelling, take a break, let it heal. No sense force it and make it worse.

Better to miss a week than a bunch of weeks or the whole season.
Hit the pocket and hope for the best
