Map pricing has ended, so prices are now VERY much in line or LOWER than the top of the line stuff from other companies.

Go out and buy one and see for your cheap selves now.

The price has never been what has turned me off to Lane #1.  If I had wanted some of their stuff I would have, either new or used.  Getting it wouldn't have been a problem either, since I live in Syracuse.

My objection to Lane #1 has been its owner himself.  I've had a couple of encounters with Richie Sposato and I can truly say that I don't like the man.  Therefore, I won't patronize his company, despite the fact they are headquarters in the same city that I live and work in.

Sorry to hear some don't like Richie.  I have talked to him several times throughout the years and conversation has always been tremendous.  How often can a normal hack like me call the owner of a bowling manufactuer and talk to the owner of the company and even better yet, get positive results.

I'm not saying everyone should get along with Richie or agree with his philosophy of "CG matters", but his customer service skills and that of his company is hard to match.

I can say I have never tried a lane#1.  It's partly do to the B.S. of the people that push the ball and that B.S. false claim of averaging higher with their line of bowling balls.

I did not match up well with any of Lane 1 bowling balls when they were made by Columbia or 900 Global until the Agent Orange.  Lane 1 weightblocks have always been good but the coverstock of Columbia and 900 Global have not been a good match for me.  If they continue to go in the direection of the Agent Orange, then I think they'll get back on track imho.

There products are great but the HYPE MACHINE IS GETTING OLD!!! Why not let your products do the talking not all of you sawheads that worship the Richie.

Who cares if CG matters or does not??? Who cares if Static weights mean jack sh1t or not???

Oh yeah all of you guys do lol

He dropped MAP for his company to survive through bad economic times no other reason, he can admit the truth or spin it again i could care less.

ANYONE That refused to try lane #1 solely on the basis of price........

I stand behind the company I like. I do not nor ever have tried to shove something down someone elses throat.

I am very rarely involved in any of the mostly heated discussions about this. I prefer to set back and watch, because some of it really is funny.

I know* what I see based on my own observations of things.. and I know in my eyes thats all that matters to me.

What everyone else thinks....... who cares.

I was only stating that price should no longer be an issue with someone that hangs on to the $5-$10 difference in price there USED to be...... so they should now be able to try one and see......

Agreed 1000%.  I fell in the trap of their deceptive advertising.  Their top balls are mid-range balls at best for other top companies.  Lane#1 is probably the worst bowling ball company out there IMO.  That diamond core is a joke if you look at the physics behind it.  But they didn't, all they did was say 'what cool shape can you put in a bowling ball?'.
