Todays bowlingballs

It seems to me that todays bowlingballs are made more for synthetic lanes than wood. Its just my observation. Anybody have any thoughts. Do you guys have specific balls you use on synthetics and specific ones for wood?

Nope, they mostly made to today's slicker oils. Some but not all synthetics are slicker naturally, by design; so the application is equivalent but not identical. Most coverstock are grippier than previous ones.

That makes sense. Its easier to change lane oil than the lane surface. Bowlingballs today are made to combat the slicker oil used now. They just seem to play so different on wood. As usual its something I'm doing or not doing.
