At the regional this past weekend, I was asked if I could build the website for this guy and his pro shop.  Actually he asked if I could reproduce my site for him.  He doesn't do a lot of volume, but he thought if he built a website to sell equipment he'd up his sales.

I asked him how much work he was willing to put into it and he said an hour or so a day.  I asked him if he thought he could support his pro shop on an hour a day... he said, uh.... no.  Then I asked him could he drastically undersell others?  No.  I asked if he would offer tons of content to draw the traffic.  No.  I asked what could he offer besides what everyone else already offers?  He wasn't sure.

Folks are going to the Internet to buy their balls because it can be cheaper.  It's only natural for the pro shop operator to want to get involved in the cyber movement.  However, I have been building websites a long time and I know first hand how easy it is to fail online.  

There are a ton of sites out there, most have very limited scope.  So my question is this... what would it take for you to switch online pro shops (if you currently buy from one)?  And what do you feel is currently missing from the online world regarding bowling?

If I order anything online, I take it to get it drilled by my local driller, so price and service would be the only thing that could get me to switch.  It would have to be something drastic, like a 20% swing in price or a drop in service.

I deal with a few online proshops that I have come across on here.  If it is something that I am looking for, I goto Doug Sterner.  

If the service is good I am very loyal to my proshop, Doug gets my online buisness, and Kevin(My local driller) gets everything else.  I don't see myself changing anytime soon
