Just to confirm...

white=1200-1500 (roughly)
grey=1000
blue=800
green=600
burgandy=400

thanks ...

ON EDIT....Don't look this up ....just tell me if I'm in the ballpark?

grey = 800

I have and use (at least until I tried Abralon) the full range of scotchbrite pads. The light grey is definitely more abrasive than the blue. Frankly, I haven't found the blue to be of much use.

FWIW (For Whatever It's Worth),
the relationship of the new blue pads to the light grey/gray pads was my best guess. Blue could be 1000-1200. Whites, which has been estimated by 3M as being 1200-1500 grit, has, for me, been almost impossible to mar/etch a ball's surface without SEVERE pressure, which is very dangerous to almost any spinner's motor. Blue needs firm pressure and has, to my eyes, been the next level finer than the light grey pad. So,I estimated it at 1000 grit, although it could be 1200 grit.

I would have to go find the number to it, but there is a 600 grit maroon pad also. So there is a 400 and a 600. One is a bit deeper maroon than the other. If anyone wants to know the number, let me know and i will see if I can find it. The 7447 that is listed here is correct for the 400 grit maroon pad.
