Too much equipment being released.

I know this one will have a lot of responses. I just think that with all the companies outthere releasing balls as fast as they do it starts to over flood the market. When I was working in a center I had a hard enough time keeping up with all the new equipment. Now that I am just bowling one night a week and subbing here and there it is almost impossible to stay up on everything. In a giving month how many new balls are released in total between all of the companies. For the average bowler it gets to be overwhelming for the bowler that wants to keep up and buy new stuff it gets to be to damn expensive. What do you all have to say on this???

Much of it is basically the same ball with a different name and color.  For example, compare the Barbed Wire to the Big Hit.

I bowl two nights a week, and I don't sub at all, but since I spend all day on ballreviews (doesn't everyone? ), it's easy to keep up with all the new equipment.

I have to agree with you on this one.  You see a new ball made by whichever  company on the internet, and by the time that the ball is in the pro shops, the same company has already released another ball (or two, or three...).

Unless you're planning on competing on a variety of conditions, you don't need to keep up with it.  If you want a new toy or your equipment is worn, a good proshop can point you in the right direction.  I think too many average bowlers throwing on average house conditions get too concerned with having the magic ball in their hands.  There is so much good stuff out there right now.  All of it can be effective if you throw a decent ball.

Oh man, just imagine having a full year's arsenal from all the companies!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!

You'd need like, 3 storage centers!
