Ok guys,
I tried to search the forums on Top Weight topics.
I also tried the FAQ link that was reposted.
Does anyone have a link or would like to explain what certain Top Weights can do to a ball?
For example.
Say I want to buy "Ball A" with 2.25 oz.
There on the flip side, there is "Ball B" with 3.75 oz. TW
This is before drilling of course.
From what I hear, more top weight will help the ball scoot down the lane longer. Is this correct? I know final #s on statics also play a role as well. I seem to have had a brain fart on this topic!
Thanks,

I'm slightly interested in the topic also. I am currently under the assumption that the final static weight is the only thing that matters. If there is a 2.5 top w/ fingers drilled shallow, and a 3.5 top with fingers deeper and they both end up with a 1/2 ounce finger, are they the same?

This is my personal opinion so take it for what it is worth.
I don't feel that statics have much influence on ball reaction maybe 5%.
I only consider top weight when I want or don't want a balance hole if the layout is borderline of requiring one and how big of a balance hole I want if the layout is going to require one. If I want to swing the CG a considerable amount with out an X-hole I get a lower top and target weight it.
Not very technical but it is my view on top weight none the less.
