I have a question.
I listed a ball for sale and a guy responded saying he wanted the ball and what was my PayPal address. I sent it to him and did not hear anything back. Ater two days I sent him a message asking where the payment was, nothing. The next day I sent another saying I have other people interested in the ball.

How long do I wait before offering it to the next guy in line?

I've had the same thing happen. After a couple of attempts to contact the original buyer (with no success), I sold it to the next person in line ( who paid for it immediately ), then sent the original party a message that the ball had been sold to someone else due to the fact that they had not sent the payment and could not be reached.

 They weren't happy about it, but I wasn't trying to make anyone happy, I was trying to sell a ball.

 If you buy a ball from me, you will be made happy SOMEHOW. If you don't buy, won't pay, and can't be reached, it isn't my problem anymore.  I'll give you a chance (or two), but I won't wait forever. I missed a sale once like this, but I won't miss another one.

  If he ends up sending the payment afer you've sold it elsewhere, it can easily be refunded.

You have to make a sale when you can.  First come first serve.  For all of those who keep stringing you along you miss the chance for a for sure sale.

You will make some people unhappy, but look at your bottom line.  You can't make money waiting for everybody else.  

On the other hand if you are not in it to make money and you can sit on potential sales then you should wait.  Nothing hurts more than people smack talking you as a seller especially if you are only selling a few balls per year to make room and cash for new stuff.

Good business tells you it's win/loose either way.  I'm sure I'm going to get hammered for these comments but their are ofcourse just opinion.

Ask your first responder a second time giving 18-24 hours for response, if no response move on and make a sale.
