Has anyone been to the tournament? I am going there for the last weekend and I was just wondering how the shot is?

Just got back today. The shot was not that bad. In the team house I was on a pair with guys who were covering a lot of boards and they did quite well. Old wood lanes tend to dry up fast with 10 men bowling.

How was the single/doubles house? Do I really need to bring anything strong to this tourney? There was also a mixed doubles tournament going on as well so I hope to bowl that too..

Singles/Doubles house is old wood as well. You should not need anything real strong.

Mr Hurt

Will be there this Wednesday thru Sunday... I've bowled at 2 of 3 of the centers used to host the tourney and I'd highly doubt you'd need  pieces that you'd typically use for long patterns. Don't quote me but I've gotten word from a few sources that basically all the houses are "modified" to take away the bump outside of 5/6ish. But from what I've gotten word, they are not opting to go with anything from the competitive Kegel patterns.

Hope I could help.

I'll be bowling the battle of sexes on Thursday with Ohio's and Nebraska's finest amateurs, see ya around

This ssounds like a cool tourney.  Does anyone have a link to the leaderboard?  Or can you post some scores?  Thank you.

Falcon1,

Scores aren't usually posted to the site (tnbainc.org) while the tourney is underway. You'd have better luck going onto Facebook and finding a thread from someone whose bowling.
But the event by large is fun, the Battle of Sexes has fairly large bracket action, crossover doubles pays really well for $40+ dollars  to get in, as well the jackpots pay good if you can manage a big game. Half of the better amateurs that bowl the (now defunct) megabucks all typically bowl this event so it is quite competitive if you are on a squad with some of the better talent.

I will be with the Chattanooga Senate team and we start bowling Saturday morning at 7 for the team event. I also will bowl the mixed doubles tournament at Ten Pins Strikes and Spares and plus see some familiar faces from other Senates as well. I am so excited about this weekend.

I am going to purchase a Champion and a Arson Low Flare for this tournament but I hope to rake in some cash
