Current CnD from powerhouse
« on: February 16, 2016, 09:11:35 PM »
I'm not sure why, but my Powerhouse Clean and dull just doesn't seem like the old track CnD. I'm using more and takes more time to get balls cleaned. I'll use it up, but I'm going to switch to EXTREME LMB one.

Are the track CnD and current CnD the same?

How much are you using on a ball?

I only use about at most a dime size blob maybe for each half of the ball at most.

I think it is a little different than the org. APP version, but I don't think I use it up any faster.

With the older one, I used a "dime" size as well. With this one, I use about a nickel size amount to remove belt marks and track marks on the ball.

One of mine is a thicker green color, and the other is a much runner green/brown.
Not sure why they are different.

I had one small regular bottle that got runny, rather than the thick gel. It still did the job. Whatever changes the viscosity into a gel does not affect its cleaning ability. It just makes it more convenient to apply.

I have not yet had to the need to buy any Powerhouse-marketed CnD; so I cannot comment on its utility.

Maybe it's my ball, a solid color Lane Masters Power Strike, but my CnD isn't getting rid of the track lines. The flare rings still can be seen until I worked the surface and added polish.

This will be my last bottle for now, I'll be ordering LMB extreme to give that a try before its out of stock again.

It's often hard to tell if those flare lines are just area that the lane wears, abrades into the polish and not oil lines. Remember that the lane is just another very fine abrasive wearing on the ball's surface.

I have yet to find that either LMB, C n D or Hook-it fail to clean up true oil.
