I was practicing on Thursday and bowled about 8 games. It was hot and humid in the bowling center and my thumb swelled and i ripped open a sore on the top knuckle. Its not the thumb hole size, i should have powdered and wiped out the thumb hole but i just kept going. I've been neosporing it everyday and its still open and pretty raw. I have league tonight and tuesday night. Has anyone used tough skin? i was wondering how it might hold up for me.

Try robbies or brunswick new skin with patches. When u get home put vitaim E all over cut should heal in few days

Neosporin usually helps open cuts heal faster because it kills the bacteria that are all around us and on us. A lot depends on how deep and wide the cut is, as to how fast it heals, as well as your own body's chemistry. If it's not healing, slow or fast, maybe you should see a doctor. BUT today is only Sunday.
Rhetorical question: Are you keep it clean and sealed (like a band-aid) when not bowling?

"None are so blind as those who will not see."

What I suggest is Neosporin cream (I prefer the cream) then wrap in a bandaid to keep it moist over night. Then next day leave the bandage off to dry out. Repeat in the evening if needed.
Then the Robbies Sure Release. Yep the smelly stinging stuff. IN there are nylon patches. Put a quick swipe of the liquid (it will burn like the devil) and while it is still wet slap one of those patches on it. Then cover the patch with the liquid, especially all the edges.

I use super glue. I have gotten small blisters on my thumb before and when I put super glue on them I can't even tell they are there.

The answer to your question is, yes it will work. It will burn terribly on
application but will give maximum protection. For healing, wash it thoroughly
when through so it will get air.
