how much would a original NIB 16lb Mj ball be worth? its the one the usbc wouldnt approve do to the groves on the ball. any idea friend has one

That's a bit of a rare find these days. On eBay I'd say maybe $100 for the 16#. A NIB 15 may go for about $50 more.  These balls were practically giveaways to league when they came out, and in the early days of eBay were going for about $40-60 NIB.

I had one of the black MJ Slams (the only ball I have ever won in nearly 30 years bowling).  I remember it had little flecks of mica in the coverstock.  The ball, at the time, really cornered hard on the backend. 

Yeah, I would agree, although slightly more pessimistic.  Would guess somewhere in the $75 to $100 range on eBay.

If its the basketball looking ball, it would be a piece to display only.  If you drill it, you won't be able to use it in league play as I believe its not Approved by USBC / ABC
