Kenra Gaines - 2nd in NC
« on: May 02, 2004, 12:33:12 AM »
I'd just like to congradulate Kendra on her 2nd place finish in Ft. Bragg this weekend.  She bowled great all through qualifiying and then lost 257-256 to Dave Tessman in the finals.  Great job, you deserve it.  She's such a nice person to talk to and a hell of a bowler.

It doesn't get any closer than that...considering the way she has bowled out in the South Region, it would not surprise me to see Kendra head into the Tour Trials with a regional win.

King, she indicated in one of the threads on the PBA site that she was trying to get enough events in to allow her to enter...I think this is the 3rd she has competed in, and there are three more before the Trials.  She (and all other PBA members) only needed five to be eligible...

Guess this answers the question of whether the girls can hang with the
big boys. She is one of the top competitors but not the cream
of the crop when it comes to women bowlers. If she can hang then I would
expect to see more of them give it a shot.

Chances are I will have to contend with her next weekend in Rocky Mount.

Good bowling, nonetheless, Ken.
