Trouble keeping my head steady
« on: October 12, 2006, 02:15:00 PM »
I just started back to bowling after a long break(6 years) & my game has REALLY changed.  Ive gone from a cranker to a stroker(bad wrist & slight tendonitis in my elbow).  Much slower approach, & more slide(needed to slide a bit more for the change from cranker to stroker).

My biggest problem right now is hitting my target even sort of consistantly, & ive noticed that after bowling my neck tends to hurt. So when i went & practiced tonight, i noticed that at my release point, my head is jerking up, even tho im not lifting overly hard, just a typical follow through.

Is there anything i can do to work on this?  Even while i was consiously thinking about keeping my head steady, i couldnt do it.

HELP!!!

What are you targeting? If your targeting the arrows I'd suggest you look at the dots or even closer. I started doing this a while ago and it has helped me hit my marks more consistantly. Now I can target the arrows again and am more consistant than ever.

Whether you think you can, or whether you think you can't... you're probably right.
