Trying out 1 hand thumbless. anyone have any good ideas?
« on: May 18, 2009, 08:39:38 PM »
Hi,

Looking for any advice on bowling with just the one hand thumbless..

Any advice/tips sincerely appreciated.. I struggle with the traditional fingertip release, for both speed and revs, also thumb swelling problems as well... Looking for an alternative, rather than two handed delivery, which is rough on my lower back, and simply not worth the long term risk IMHO..

Cheers
LL

Before you even consider throwing it one-handed with no thumb, bear in mind it's rough on your body as well.  It puts a lot of strain on your wrist and arm.

I found using a semi grip (shorter than fingertip) provided more control and did not effect my additional rev rate.
