trying to choose a ball
« on: January 19, 2005, 03:27:22 PM »
Which ball is best for heavy oil, BVP Goliath, Full Throttle, Big Bully, or the Real Deal???
I need help choosing a ball that hooks well in oil and am not sure of the differences between these balls.

Even though I'm a huge Columbia fan, I'd stay away from the Big Bully and Full Throttle.  I really am just not impressed with ANY of Columbia's High end, sanded equipment.  Ive heard very good things about the Goliath but if it were my choice I would end up getting either a Track Animal or maybe even the new Rule that just came out.  hope whatever you choose works well for you.

Her(what I hear):Blah blah blah blah blah BOWLING blah blah.
Me: What did you say about bowling?
Her: I didn't say bowling I said, DRIVING, I'm tired of driving.
Me: Ohhh. Nevermind.

Advice before you burn money: Go to a good local pro shop and have your game analyzed - at least, bring a typical ball of yours. Tell waht you want the ball to do or what your current assortment does on which lane conditions. A good pro should be able to tell how different balls' coverstock and core characteristics as well as the drilling pattern should best fit your game and the lane conditions you usually play.

Real Deal - My local proshop sold 2 cases in a couple of days because a local house has been putting down 10W-40 lately.
