Turbo Grip Ice inserts (Clear insert)
«

I'm going to be getting some of these next week and installing them in a ball I'm working on. Is there anything different about them that I should be careful with? Are they more finicky with glues and stuff like that? Any words of wisdom are appreciated.
Thanks

Turbo Grips has an online forum too, that is moderated by the company.

If I recall, there is a special glue they offer that prevents the grips from turning colors... or something like that. If I recall, some glues tints the clear grips. Ask them to find out for sure.

Thanks Tony, I was on their site and didn't even think to look for something like that.

I'll be getting some tomorrow to try out. In the meantime I'll ask Turbo if there are any special requirements for this grip.

We use a special glue for the Ice grips at our shop. Not exactly sure of the reason, but I'll ask tonight.

they are softer, but no difference in the way you glue them.

I also heard that they do not hold as well in the ball. You have to glue them well. It has do with having no pigment in the grips. It make the grips a little slicker.

I just put these in my Animal after getting it drilled, and I really don't see much of a difference, they have a nice feel to them, and will probably put them in my Xception too after I order it, different look, and a nice texture.

If they are a little slicker, then would a silicone glue work? I remember using the old blue silicone grips and using the silicone glue, perhaps it would work witht he clear ice grips. jsut a thought.
