I know about the ICE grips bct and knew when I made my first post that you weren't talking about those...no need to yell there big guy!

About the new batch of grips "seeming transparent" -or- "transparent color'd grips" as I put it (big difference!  ) I can't help you there.  I have not seen our latest batch of grips looking transparent at all.  Ofcourse we deal mainly in black and orange grips.

what colors are you having this issue with?  The glue that holds the ICE grips in won't hold these off grips?  That's surprising as we utilize a different glue to hold the ICE grips in because our regular glue didn't.

I use plain white Turbo Quads and have no problems with them not staying glued in. I use Super Glue "Gel". Sets fast and not messy like runny glues. I only glue on two sides. I put the smallest drop on each side I can put on.
