Kegel Beaten Path

Any general advice on playing this pattern? I was thinking a symmetrical solid to start with (on the aggressive side, maybe 2000 grit). I've never bowled on this pattern, if you have let me know please.

Depending on your revrate. Most play is 8 and left. Best ball for me is Violent Eruption at 2000 drilled 50x5 7/8x40 and Eruption at 1000 drilled 45x6x35.

I had good results using a ball just like you described: an Elite Espionage, left at the stock 2000 grit but with a very weak pin (I'm rev dominant) and a largish VAL angle (5.5" x 60 degrees). Played a small swing with a breakpoint similar to that described by makpa, around 8 -10 board. This was on AMF HPL synthetics; other lane surfaces may play differently. It seemed like a medium to medium-heavy oil pattern with a 4:1 ratio so there is n't as much pull or swing area as a THS (11:1 ratio).

Transition, unless you had a good amount of ball speed to enable you to stay in the track area, was harsh. I could just move deeper. I got another version of the same ball, intending to drill it with a shorter pin-PAP and a smaller VAL angle to add length and backend, but I was injured and had to sit out the season before I could try it.

What is the lane surface you are bowling on and how well is it maintained?
That's just some of the info needed before determining a ball and layout combo.
free agency it is until i get a better offer.   LMAO

Thanks guys. I'm taking a Reign of Fire, Train, and an undetermined 3rd ball. I'll buy a plastic ball overseas.
The center is in Ireland (Dunedin Ice Bowl). All I know is that it has synthetics. I'll use the advice here and plan on rolling it straight a tad right of 10. and adjust from there
