Emerald Vibe
« on: February 04, 2009, 07:28:41 AM »
I still see a lot bowlers throwing blue and cherry vibes, including some of the pros. Why don't I see anyone throwing the emerald vibe? Was it really that much worse than the other two? What makes it worse?

I didn't find it worse at all, it just is erratic in a lot of cases. My Cherry was a tad stronger but much smoother, the Emerald just hooked too hard on the backend for many and in some cases is just too hard to control, though many times on house shots it was absolutely wicked.

It was not "worse" than the others. If anything, it is more popular because it has a stronger backend and everybody loves a pearl that flips.

I think you're either just not seeing it or Hammer isn't that popular in your area. The ball seems to sell quite well in general.

I'm thinking about purchasing one. Ball has an awesome reaction on the right condition. It will replace my piece of garbage Radical Inferno.

The VR is very different & much stronger from the Emerald Vibe. Maybe your area has too much oil to use such a flippy pearl??

I'm starting to see more and more Emerald vibes be used.  I have never owned the Cherry or Emerald but have owned 3 Blue Vibs and it's one of the best, most versatile bowling balls even made in my opinion.

I'm still hoping Hammer will release a Vibe that has a super strong reactive or particle cover with the same core and specs as the other Vibes.
