Bowling Come Back from Wrist Injury
« on: October 20, 2016, 08:50:28 AM »
Hey guys, has anyone returned from wrist injury? I just wanna know how to recover properly like as in what weight should I start using? My normal weight is 15, but I know I'm going to have to use a light weight ball and work myself back to speed. Anyone have any personal experiences coming back from Wrist Surgery and a time table on how long it took you to return?

Each person and injury is different. You should consult with your doctor first

I would agree with the above statement because we do not know what kind of wrist Surgery you had.  Now with that said, I have had 2 wrist surgeries on my bowling wrist over the last 10 years or so.  The first was carpel tunnel and it took about 8 weeks to get back to bowling and I needed to use a wrist support for a year after that.  The second was to remove arthritis and bones spurs and cut back 2 nerves to reduce pain.  That one took 6 weeks to come back from and I used a wrist support (Robbies large one) for 2 years after that one.  I am now down to just the extended glove from Columbia without any metal in it.  I never had to drop weight.  Just did my PT and was careful during the comeback.
