I was talking to a couple of guys on my State Hall of Fame board not long ago about what qualifications they should go on.
In the old days, it was based on how you did in tournament in your state. If you had won the State tournament and/ or in our case the Southwest, Oil Capital or Springfield, MO.
In todays climate, I see some of the best bowlers in our state don't even enter those tournaments because of the handicap being out of line and scores being so high because of it.
I'll not bowl several of these for that reason as well. I'm not willing to pay 80 bucks to try to win the All-Events Scratch (no pay) to add to my resume. Needed 860 to win is something I'm not willing to gamble on.
I can invest that money and bowl scratch weekend, no name tournaments, and win some real money.
Do any of you know what qualifications your state require to get in your Hall of Fame?
