Weight Hole Legality
« on: October 02, 2006, 01:58:21 PM »
I've heard some talk lately around the different houses in our area about what the USBC was trying to do regarding not allowing weight holes in balls after Jan, 2008.  What I'm hearing now is some of the drillers are only doing layouts that don't require a hole to be within the limits of the new regs including the CG with an inch of centerline.

I did some googling and came up with this link that tells me this is not the case, the idea of those 2 changes was put on the shelf for now.

So, has something happened since February to change this or are folks just anticipating that it will be implemented at some time in the future, I'd really like to know as I'm getting some stuff drilled up in the next month.  Does anyone have some thoughts or definitive answers.

Those ideas were shut down, and will not be implemented.
