Hey guys!! I just wanted to put a thought or two out there and wanted to see how you guys react to it, or what you guys perceive...etc......
I bowl on the PBA shot that a somewhat local house puts out on a few pairs on a weekend night for anyone who wants to go tinker around with a PBA shot or practice for their upcoming PBAx leagues, or see where their game is at.
But then there's the catch.
Your motivation has to be entirely centered around yourself and your accomplishments on what the pros play.
If you read enough on here, you hear that you're in no way as good as the guys on TV and you shouldn't even be carrying in their bags into the center. That's most likely true as the average guy can't hack it or average what the big guys average on the PBAx shots for the most part. So, you practice on the PBA shots and get better. But you're still not better than the pros, remember? So, as for the tour.......well, forget about it.
So then you enhance your skill level thru PBAx situations and bring that skill set to your THS league where your new ability level may result in more honor scores. Inevitably, those honor scores will be poo-poo'ed by those that say honor scores don't mean anything anymore because of soft conditions and equipment. Damned if you do..........
So, I guess it's practice for your own personal fulfillment.
Disclaimer: thoughts inspired by a few Captain Morgan's last night during league. Thank goodness I have a default designated driver called a wife...
