Is this a violation of the USBC league rules? Yes or no?
16 lane center, 14 teams using lanes 3-16.
Question is this: Is it a violation to allow a team to have "open play" / "warmup games" before league on the pair they will be bowling competition on that evening?
Example: Say my team is bowling league on lanes 3-4 that night. Should I OR any member of my team OR the opposition be allowed to "practice" / "warmup" / "open bowl" on lanes 3-4.
My thinking is this: If I were on 3-4 that night I SHOULD be able to "practice" / "warmup" / "open bowl" BEFORE league on any pair OTHER than what I will be competing on but NOT the pair I will be on. If I warm up on say lanes 9-10 BOTH teams on 9-10 that night will face the same conditions thereby offering them ZERO advantage of how that pair is playing, both teams are approaching the same conditions so there is no inherent "advantage". If a team practices on THEIR pair, they DO gain an advantage of knowing how their pair is playing.
So again, is it a violation to allow a team to have "open play" / "warmup games" before league on the pair they will be bowling competition on that evening?
