ur first 300?

When did you bowl your first 300? ive been bowling for 8 months or so, and ive had the front 9 twice, and the front 10 once. also, just out of curiosity, what was ur average after only about a year. im at 182 right now, and just wat to know how im doing.

When I started bowling 16+ years ago the equipment was a lot different and I was only 11 at the time.  I didn't shoot my first 300 game at the age of 19 (during rock-n-bowl) and I believe at the time I was averaging somewhere in the mid 200's to 210 range.  

I guess that I was a late bloomer or something?  Since then I've had a few more though...

I had my first one a little over a year in.  I've bowled for 4 years now, and have recently had a 299 also.  I've had 300's and 800's in practice, but have only gotten as close as back 11's otherwise.  My average at the end of my first year was 179, and jumped to 209 by the end of my second.

1991- ten years in

  Started bowling in 1981 with a yellow dot. Moved up to an LT-48 in 1982, then a black hammer in 1984.  Kept throwing the black hammers and black turbos and finally got the 300 with a black hammer.

 Since then here's what I've done:
Yellow dot-789
Granite gargoyle-783
Power bolt-780

Pink hammer-299
Black turbo-298-297
granite gargoyle-297
Purple pearl stinger-300
Vicious particle-300

  Just can't seem to get that elusive 800 series, but I'm still working on it!

first 300 -1977 after bowling 4 years as youth. I had 5 792's,796 and a 798 before I shot my first 800 in 1982.

My first 300 came this league year, in November, with a Track Freak.  I have since then retired and "unretired" that ball.  I shot 297 in a collegiate tournament with a Silver Streak Pearl, shot numerous 279s with that ball, a Vicious Particle, a Fuel, and a Diesel Particle Pearl.

My first year in bowling I averaged a ripe 82 (I was 6, shush!) but since then I have grown to a 200 average in a tougher league and a 217 on THS.

Shot my first 300 in Las Vegas at a collegiate tournament back in 1986 , age 21 using a Black Angle. Based on what I read, you are doing very well for your first year. I was 7 when I first started bowling, so I don't think my 82 average at the time counts...LOL..

i was barely 18 when i threw my first 300 in 1990.

i was averaging 212 with a black rhino then.

My first in 1985 with a black Hammer my second came two weeks later at a different house with a White Dot.

I started bowling juniors back in 1978, joined adult leagues in 1985, shot my first honor score in 1987(299), and my first 300 in 1994. It was the first sanctioned 300 shot at that house in over 20 years, and I don't think they've had any there since. It had been known for years as a place where even if you bowl well, you get inconsistent results(poor pin carry, light to nonexistent oil).

I shot my first 300 sanctioned when i was 15, i was averaging 220 something at the time, and i shot my first 300 in practice when i was 12 averaging like 180-190

I started bowling juniors when I was 16. Lived around
the corner from a bowling center I started hanging out
there every day. Started getting lessons from the pro
shop operator. First year in junior program ( split season )
I averaged 150's for first half 180's second half.
Start of the next season I was averaging around 205
that was in 1989. I shot my first 300 when I was 18, 1 month
after joining adult leagues.
