Urethane
« on: October 12, 2006, 12:05:11 PM »
I was told tonight that I throw too much of a ball for the house that I bowl in on Thursday. Was told that I needed to get a URETHANE ball, but which one should I look at. Right now I have a STRIKE ZONE & PYRO and both balls over-react for the lane conditions.

So please any and all help on this would be greatly appreciated...

BOWLING IS FUN NO MATTER WHAT YOU SCORE. BUT A 300 IS ALWAYS NICE.

STRIKE ZONE & PYRO. STAND 15 AND THROW 10 OUT TO 5 AND SMASH THE POCKET. AT LEAST THAT IS THE PLAN OF THE NIGHT...

I had a CUDA/C, was that a urethane as well? I just went and looked at the reited balls on the WEB-SITE and the only balls that were there was the CUDA/C 2000 and the CUDA 2000. But neither one looked like the one that I had. If I remember right, it was a maroon ball. Anyone have any info on this, please let me know.

Bad thing is that I gave away my U2 when we were getting ready to move to Florida. Ball did not hit real hard, but was predictable and rolled very good when the lanes were S***Y.

What happens when you throw your onslaught? Is that to strong, or have you not tried it.

if all else fails, just throw it.

For some reason that one just likes to skid too far before it breaks. I have moved and slowed down but nothing seemed to work. I find that ball works really well on really dry lanes.

Visionary Slate Blue Gargoyle.  Pearl urethane with a dynamic core.  You might need to bring the surface up to 1500 grit or so and polish it if it breaks too early OOB.  --  JohnP

I might suggest (as a first attempt) to adjust the cover on this ball...  Try taking some of the polish off with water and a scotch brite pad...  this will cause the ball not to skid as far and may be what you are looking for... if the onslaught goes too long for you, I doubt urethane is the answer.
