Vise makes about 20 types of tape for thumbs holes and fingers some proshops stock the display expensive stuff but great quality also.

On edit i have used johnson and johnson tape from the medical section before it is slicker but thick like the white tape from the bowling supplies.

Johnson & Johnson waterproof tape - white - in the 1" wide roll. Cut it in 1-1/2 to 2" length, trim off the edges, round the top, and you have cheap  bowling tape for the front of the thumbhole. Save the backing paper that computer labels come on - you can use those to hold your pre-cut pieces of tape.
