US Act Bowling balls
« on: June 20, 2010, 01:39:15 AM »
Does anyone have any info on these balls?  They are listed on Buddies website.  Says they are made by Ebonite, but never heard of them before.  Looks like they have the NV core in them.  If anyone has info on them, let me know.

All I know is that the Untouchable has the coverstock from the Magic, and the Wanted has the coverstock from the Sting.

Put the TNV core in those covers and you should have a pretty decent ball.

It was discussed briefly in the Ebonite forum.

Not all US ACT balls are manufactured by Ebonite.  I have a US ACT Pleiades that is poured by Brunswick.  I also know of a few that were poured in San Antonio.

COnsidering that type of ball went for $130 or so delivered a short while back, I''d say you made a considerable understatement. I''d almost assume Buddies was trying to get rid of them, for that price. Don''t forget shipping, $20 or so, is included. That makes the actual ball price around $55.

Laugh your *ss off all you want.
Those who know, know that both balls use newer coverstocks, Black Widow Sting cover and the Magic cover, both of which were designed to absorb oil at a much slower rate than previous Ebonite-made covers.

Besides, if you clean your equipment like you're supposed to and rejuvenate it at the proper time, 95% of the coverstocks last a long, long time.

again lmfao!! i take very very very good care of my equipment.. yes i may have been some what "inexperianced" with using the right grits polishes etc etc. my father was a good friend of the proshop owner and was given an xtra spinner from the shop.. years ago (99-02 ish) i did use ebo stuff.. was GREAT until i changed the cover or 43 games, what ever came first.. got tired of askn the proshop questions and getn dumb answers.. pretty much said it was ME all the time. picked up 2 used storms(eraser trauma er) thats when i realized i was throwing the WRONG shiit!! been storm ever since!!  like 2 weeks after i got those to used storm balls, had my first 800 and 300 same set, and 2 290's with in a month.. also i only had been bowling for 2-3 years and never really took it "serious" until those honor scores came!!  hahaha

Repeating it may make you think you made your point. Please say it again.
