USBC Awards
« on: February 25, 2007, 11:37:38 PM »
Lets say you bowl in 3 leagues in different centers and average about the same in all 3. What would happen if you shot an 800 in all three leagues? Would you still get the award for the 800 in all 3 or would you just get it for one of the leagues?

T.J.

BOWLING IS FUN NO MATTER WHAT YOU SCORE. BUT A 300 IS ALWAYS NICE.

STRIKE ZONE, ONSLAUGHT, REVS, FLIP & PYRO. STAND 22 AND THROW 10 OUT TO 5 AND CRUSH THE POCKET. AT LEAST THAT IS THE PLAN OF THE NIGHT...

GOOD LUCK AND GOOD BOWLING!!!

You would get three, but only one ring. You would have to select one of the other options for the other two scores.

quote:
Actually, they now only give you one award for each accomplishment a year. It used to be you could get a different award (ie. watch, ring, plaque, etc) for each 800 you shot per year. That has stopped. Now, they acknowledge the 800 with a letter and list it on the bowl.com website but you can only get one award per year. So if you shoot (3)three 800's you will only get one ring, watch, plaque of your choice so choose wisely. Same goes with all 300s, 299s, and 298s.

Don't that suck...oh well. It's not like I'm going to hit multiple 800's anyway.

that's just crazy, and we are paying more for the membership, but now only one award.  Doesn't make any sense to me

One award per catergory per year. I have had 3 300's in  my one league this season and the first was an award, the others are certificates.  If i shoot another 3 anywhere this season 2006-2007 i still receive credit but not an award, only certificate.

Be proud of your achievement but look at it this way.  Some guys shoot 5-10 a year that bowl several nights all over and they do not get the additional awards either.

Buy a multiple ring to celebrate your achievement.

What's so crazy about only sending out one award per accomplishment a year?  I mean have you seen the number of scores shot per year?  I could only imagine how our sanction fees would go up if they gave out an award for every honor score shot.
