OK guys and gals...

After some final touches on the structure of the BallReview days I have secured "MY" first location for a Lane#1 Ballreview day.

The location will be:

Chacko's Family Bowling Center
Wilkes-Barre, Pa.

Sunday, NOVEMBER 23rd at Noon-4pm
Price is $10 to participate..

We should have the Agent Orange and the Chainsaw by then as well for testing..

Throw all the Lane#1 balls and test the Grip Loc Inter-changeable thumb inserts..

We'll be in PA for the first time in 7 years from Nov. 7 through Nov. 15. Couldn't you have done something then?? And in Lancaster??

Actually its a little harder this year than it use to be, they tightened up the shot a little and the scores there went a tad downhill. I still scored well when I bowled there last week but it was harder than it use to be, use to be put it on the lane and turn around, now you actually have to hit a spot to strike atleast carry.

As for the demo I think I will be there, Beans is it bowl for 4 hours for 10$?? or is it like 1 hour sessions?

Any sales on balls then?
Will you be drilling?
will both Right and Left handed equipment be avilable?
Do you have a complete list of balls available to throw?
Also any discount to an organizer who brings say 10 or more people?

Where do you bowl??
ABC West?

Did you know for years that ABC West was one of the highest scoring houses in the country?? I actually had my first ABC 300 game there when I was 17 and had another in a different tourney. If Chacko's Bowling Center doesn't suit you then come to Idle Hour Lanes in Scranton the second week of December. Keep your eyes open in the Lane#1 forum for the exact dates when confirmed.

It will depend on the amount of people that show up. As of right now it will be in sessions. I have 8 lanes to work with so I was thinking 16-20 bowlers per session. Hope to see you there.

I will not be drilling at the BR day although I will be available to lay balls out and recommend layouts and ball choices. Any specials on equipment will be up to Mr. Dan Chacko as he will is the owner of the shop. Both RH and LH equipment will be available. If you want to be a squad organizer you should try to setup an event at your local bowling center or with your pro shop.

I might make it to Idle Hour Lanes if you are having it there in Dec. Nov 23rd is my B-Day and football is on. Short of an explosion not much will get me out of the house that day lol

Idle Hour's is my home house, so I will definately be at that one, I may be at the one at Chacko's too. Is Ron and Jimmy actually going to have specials on balls up there Beans? I've never seen Idle Hour have a ball special ever and kinda dont expect one knowing them. Will the Idle Hours one be on a Sunday too Beans? I'll be bowling league at 6 that night there so then I would definately be in, is it going to be the same prices? etc. Because I know Ide's has high lineage.

West was fluff. And to be honest still is. Most house shots are. I just remember walking in for the State tourney a few years back and seeing the lighted signs and all their records.

The quote from the brother in the pro shop regarding high scores---"Well thats what everyone wants right"...

I do bowl Mondays at West. I bowl Wednesdays at the new ABC East (for a new center---worst racks I have ever seen). Fridays at Trindle. Saturdays is my "challenge" league. Carlisle Eagles club, Gilly's place in Biglerville, Midway, amongst others. Now there are some fun places to bowl.

I am the biggest believer in the house shots being fluff and very unfulfilling. I just remember what I bowled on in that house was a farce and that is what they encouraged. If they have made things tougher/fairer---Im glad. I really apologize for the hijack.
