Ball recommendation
« on: February 25, 2014, 03:08:43 PM »
Hey all. I'm looking for something symmetrical preferably out of Utah that will allow me to handle more oil than my Fusion drilled 50 x 5 x 55 with a big Double thumb hole.

Fusion is great on all mediums and less but with my 20 mph off hand speed I struggle on the fresh shots. I'm looking for something to read the mids but really continue hard for me.

Suggestions?

HAD a Disturbed and as dumb as it sounds I traded it in because it completely died on me. In hindsight I may have messed with the cover too much trying to get the OOB reaction back after 30 games. It's possible I screwed it up when I hit it with 360 on my spinner.

And I have a marvel s which is great for playing straighter since it has a hole down Val.

I probably need to use a P3 hole on this one to make the breakpoint sharper. Just looking for ideas. I love the reaction the Fusion gives me but I want to conquer the heavier fresh stuff instead of struggling until they break down.

My Disturbed has taken well to my spinner....no issues at all....I love it for heavy fresh where I need a strong midlane read....I like it better than my Hyper Cell. I do my Disturbed 500 dry for 10 secs 4 side, 500 wet 10 sec 4 sides and 2000 wet 10 secs 4 sides and it is very close to OB for me..

Now the Zero, is a great ball that should be a nice step up from the Fusion, but it doesnt make that hard midlane read like a Disturbed. but it does handle oil well...Ive been very impressed and just posted about it a min ago

Part of me wants another disturbed with same layout as before. Part of me wants the zero with 3.5 pin to pap and p3 hole.

Your disturbed is stronger than zero right?

Yes. I need to put a hole in the Zero to bring legal but wanted to throw first. I'm going to add a p3 Friday. I'm guessing after the p3 it will be very close but different shape. It's a real nice motion.

I have the same problem as you. Speed dominant and can throw a ball through the break point.  If you are opened minded try a pyramid chosen path, it is the best ball I have ever thrown on fresh ths or heavy-med/heavy shots.  Drill it strong and keep a fresh 1k-2k surface on it and it will hang with any of the big brands. (But it is asymmetrical) which is actually better for us speed dominant bowlers.
