The National dues are the same.  Your total dues are broken up into National, State(maybe) and Local.  Its the state and local dues that vary from state to state.  So you start at $10.  Then add on to that.  In Sacramento we pay $19 (no raise from last year).

Dues will also depend on the number of membership and the cost it takes the local association to serve those members.  We serve 10,000 members, 12 centers.  The Local part of our dues is $8.  That encompasses office rent, tournament management/expenses, association manager salary and an assistant as well as all the supplies needed to run such an operation and the money to help (HELP not pay for) send delegates to National and State conventions.  There is so much more your local association does with no benefit of pay like Center Certification and any zero lineage that needs be done.  Also the transport of awards (special achievement and honor) to its centers and bowlers FREE of charge, and assistance at local city tournaments and charity events, due to Directors' volunterism.

Please ask about being a local Director.  Your Association and bowlers need your help every day to exist.

I paid $13 in New Smyrna Beach, Florida. But that was for an adult/youth league. A older guy on my team paid $18 I think for a Men's league. [/quote}

The rates are different for adults and youth.  And there might be a discount for seniors depending on where you are.

Our youth pay $13.

BUTTTTTT, I paid my sanction fee, and like 5-10 weeks later, I'm wondering where my card is. So my mom calls the alley and tells them and like 2 weeks later, I get my money back in the mail, with that membership card you had to fill out. Yeah, so I am pretty much not sanctioned right now.

Then your scores are not eligible for USBC sanctioned play.  Nor is your average an sanctioned average. Nor are your awards viable.  Don't wait 5 to 10 weeks next time.  It only takes a couple weeks at max if your secretary is on the ball and the local assoc. is up to date.  Most likely the issue is with the Secretary.  They never turned in the application for membership.  In fact they might not have ever turned in the league sanction!!!  (its supposed to be in by 30 days)  Happens all the time.  And as a league member, you PAID for that dis service each week.

Never vote in a league secretary just because they've been there forever or for popularity reasons.  Its a business arrangement, not a popularity contest and they have control of thousands of your leagues' dollars.
