Urethane with different layouts
« on: October 11, 2014, 08:51:05 AM »
I currently have a Blue Hammer remake and love it. I've been able to use it sometimes when the shot breaks down and it allows me to stay in the track.

I was wondering if anyone had multiple urethanes of the same model and how much difference did you see with layout and surface changes?  I've been debating getting another and keeping it a little polished and taking the first one to maybe 500/2000 to use when fresh.

I ask this because I remember how versatile the Thunder Flash Pro was.  Polished, it reacted like a very mild resin (very smooth but could open up the lane) and with surface just like an agressive urethane.  I had 2 and won plenty of tournaments with them.

You wont see much difference in reaction but if your like me, you will notice the little differences when you throw and be confident when you adjust. Go for it. I have an all urethane arsenal and am going to drill things slightly diff from each other. I have one reactive/particle pearl (Judgement) for those times when carrydown kills urethane.

I agree. I don't think you'd see much difference with just differing layouts. However going with two different surfaces would be more worth while.

Id try one at 500/2000 and another at 360/800. It would give you two different looks to try and cover a variety of conditions.
